2003-08-25 - 1:15 a.m. Squirrel Experiment #1 - Soft or Spikey? So here I am, the day before school starts up again...I got my two weeks, now it's back to work. My head is pounding and I have no idea why...but I don't want to give in and go to sleep quiet yet. I am so unprepared, but whatever. I have to say I had a fucking blast when I was back home. I got to see almost everyone I wanted to, got my tattoo, went to the zoo (of course our dumbasses picked the hottest day so far of the summer to go). I even made new friends back home, and got to see some old ones I don't see often enough. Honestly I really didn't want to come back. I think I just feel a lot more needed and loved back home. But I don't at all regret comming to ISU. It was a great last year, and I really do like the school. Friday when I got back I didn't really feel like drinking because I drank everynight but one when I was home. However I did get quiet high. Ya know, caught a lil bit of that chinese disease. On the walk home, Janelle and I decided to do some squirrel experimenting. She really wanted to know if a squirrel's tail was soft or spikey. The dead squirrel on our path proved a good subject, and well, it's soft...but like a wild animal. Last night I wasn't really sure if I wanted to go out, but I'm glad I did. First I met up with Anthong, Ryan and Wiegle over at Sigma Chi's but there really wasn't many people there. So after a couple beers we decided to go join the party of apparently about 20 kegs. It was pure insanity...sooo many people. I got in pretty good though. As soon as we got there I was seperated from everyone except Wiegle...and since we couldn't find the cup guy I got the bright idea that we should just act like we're going to take a piss and find a couple abandoned cups inside. So already it's not bad, free beer. Then I had to stand in line for a kajillion minutes. I finally get up there and the guy filling cups tells me that I was the most patient person he'd served that night, so he readily fills my cup up all night quickly when he sees me. My patience finally paid off. I went back and chilled at Anthonys...don't ever let that boy convince you to play drinking games he makes up unless you want to get fucked. We played the game where you are assigned "odds" or "evens" and then flip the cards and drink the number if it's yours. Needless to say I didn't make it home, and kept having wierd dreams about my parents being in the townhouse downstairs. Ya know, I think I just figured out why I like these diaries so much...it's just like you're having a conversation with someone, anyone...and then getting to listen to others random thoughts. Ahh but anyways, I think I've done enough conversating for the night. I hope everyone updates more often now that summer is over...I need some good reading.
