Vegas, where it's lighter in the night than it is during the day

To update, or not to update...well I’ve decided I don’t really have anything else I want to do right now so it’s a pretty good time. Las Vegas was fucking awesome besides the fact that I was an emotional wreck. It really is like no where else. The plane rides to Vegas weren’t so bad thanks to my handy dandy motion sickness device that gives you little shocks like you’re touching an electric fence. I even got a little kick out of the turbulence because there were a bunch of cowboys on the flight and the first big drop we hit one of them loudly declared “YEEEHAW! It’s just like riding my horse.” The others then continued to give a couple yeehaws. As soon as we got into the casino I hear someone yell, “you’re awfully far from Davenport” apparently they noticed my st.ambrose shirt and couldn’t contain themselves...it kind of disturbed me. So the first night we just kind of looked around the casinos and got some good food then passed out. Saturday we went and saw Rita Rudner, she was pretty fucking funny. Then Sunday as my sister and I were walking around I saw some dude who looked like Eric Neis but I decided it couldn’t be him because he wasn’t as buff as he looked on TV. Well about an hour later I picked up a flyer for this dance thing at Studio 54 hosted by Eric Neis, so I guess I did see him. Sunday night was the best because we went and saw the Blue Man Group. Let me tell you, it was the best damn thing I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend you go see it. Maybe at some point I’ll put up some pics of my sister and I in our stylish ponchos at the show. Much more happened in Vegas but honestly I’m too lazy to think of it and type it all out. The plane ride from Vegas to Denver sucked my ass...not only was I a little paranoid on the account of never flying alone before but we hit really bad turbulence and there were no cowboys to make me laugh this time. I pumped my little reliefband thing up as far as it would go resulting in my hand uncontrollably pulsating, however I think that’s the only thing that kept me from losing my cookies and having some sort of panic attack. I had to wait around the Denver airport for 3 ½ hours...fun. But at least I had time to gather my thoughts and calm down. Tuesday was really no fun for me. First of all I had to get up all ass early after being jetlagged and try to pack my car up in 95 degree weather (with my sunburn mind you). It took me a good couple hours and a lot of water but I got it done. So I got on the road all early so I would have time to stop and get something to eat and make it to my class a little early since I didn’t know where I was going. Well when I got about to Muscatine, which is about 40 minutes away, my car started making funny noises and the “check engine” light came on. I decided I wasn’t going to risk getting halfway to Ames and breaking down and ending up majorly fucked. So I just prayed my car would make it back home and it did luckily. However I had to take everything from my escort and transfer it to the Chrysler which wasn’t any fun. By the time I got everything settled it was 2 hours later than when I originally started on the road. And not surprisingly when I got to Ankeny my class was already over.

It is nice to have my own apartment now though. I’m enjoying it despite the fact that I have about 3 times the amount of shit piled up as I should. But I’m done writing for now. Everyone should definitely come visit Janelle and me this summer!
